Cherokee Nation Businesses develops and manages Cherokee Nation's diverse group of businesses, including the small 8(a), HUBZone, and MBE certified businesses. The 8(a) Small Business Administration program benefits a tribal entity in that it provides for economic development within the tribe. This program allows Native American Tribes to operate for a much larger purpose. It allows the Native American tribe to address the socio economic status of entire groups of Native peoples. 

CNB generates revenue for Cherokee Nation, forms beneficial partnerships with local communities and develops long-term strategies for workforce and economic development. The Dedicated net income it provides allows the Tribe to invest in culture, education, health care and infrastructure.

With 11,000 employees, Cherokee Nation and its businesses make an annual economic impact in northeastern Oklahoma of $1.55 billion.

Sixty-five percent of this money is invested in Cherokee businesses to create jobs in high growth, high potential industries, training and educating Cherokee citizens to fill jobs, and promote self-sufficiency. Thirty-five percent is invested in Cherokee programs and services including education, housing programs, health services and social services.
